Sapta Devata

In Pancha Patra normal water will become the Holy Rivers Ganga, Godavari, Narmada, Kaveri, Krishna, Brahmaputra and Yamuna. Water from all these seven rivers will come inside to this ritualistic pathra, which is used during ritualistic worship. ‘Water from these seven Holy Rivers has the ability to attract and transmit the frequencies of Saptadevtas (seven Superior Deities). This water from the ritualistic pot is used for performing the Sandhavandhanam and abhishekam.

The subtle sound frequencies from the ritualistic pot absorb the frequencies of the Saptadevtas in the water and effectively transmit them into the atmosphere. These subtle sound frequencies have a higher speed and expanse, the effectiveness of the frequencies of the Saptadevtas transmitted into the atmosphere through the water of the seven rivers remains in the environment for a longer period. These frequencies are transmitted with the help of the particles of the absolute Water element in the water and the particles of the Absolute Ether element from the sound frequencies in the ritualistic pot, this water can be consumed as tirth (Holy water). By doing so with highest devotion, the Divine frequencies in this tirth activate the five vital energies in the form of gases that are in dormant state surrounding the navel, in the body of the devotee.

1. Shiva(Note 2) or 10Filled and round (Dormant energy)
2. Shri Durgadevi (Note 3)1 or 9Hollow and round (Active energy)
3. Shrikrushna3Hollow and elliptical
4. Shriram4Hollow and elliptical
5. Hanuman5Hollow and elliptical
6. Datta7Hollow and rhomboid
7. Shri Ganapati8Hollow and rhomboid
Note 1 – By offering flowers in arrangements that attract waves of ichha (Desire), kriya (Action) and dnyan (Knowledge), greater benefit of the associated Deity Principle is obtained. (For example, Dnyan waves are attracted towards a round arrangement; kriya waves are attracted towards an elliptical arrangement.)
Note 2 – Zero means offering nothing
Note 3 – Female Deities are forms of Adishakti (Primal Energy) Shri Durgadevi. Hence, the same arrangement and number (of flowers) should be offered to these Female Deities as offered to Shri Durgadevi. Brahma is not an Upasyadevata (Deity of worship); that is why, the number of flowers to be offered to Brahma and their arrangement has not been mentioned.

Twin born from

Once Indra, the king of gods, asked Agni, the fire god, and Vayu, the wind god, to go and kill all the demons. Agni and Vayu were very powerful and killed most of the demons but the rest hid in the ocean. So they returned and told Indra that they could not kill the rest of the demons. Indra was very angry. He ordered Agni and Vayu "Even if you have to churn the ocean, you must get those demons out and kill them." Agni and vayu said that they didn't want to churn the ocean as there were other creatures living in it and they would also have to suffer because of the demons. Indra was not convinced and said, "The ocean has given shelter to the wicked and should suffer for that. But you two are trying to evade your duty by disobeying me. I curse you to be born as humans on earth." Thereafter, Agni was born as Sage Agastya while Vayu took birth as Sage Vashishtha.
